Getting the most from your Kansya Thali machine requires the right technique, the right oil, and the right duration. This guide covers everything from initial setup to cleaning and maintenance — for both new and experienced users.

What You Will Need

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Set Up the Machine

Place the machine on a flat, dry, stable floor surface — not on carpet or uneven ground. Plug the power cord into a standard 230V AC socket. Keep the area dry at all times. Do not place on a table or elevated surface.

2

Prepare Your Feet (Optional but Recommended)

For the full Ayurvedic experience, warm a small amount of oil (see oil guide below) and apply it to the soles of your feet before sitting down. This enhances the bronze-skin contact, improves toxin extraction, and intensifies the therapeutic effect. The machine works without oil too — both methods are valid.

3

Set the Timer and Direction

Set the built-in digital timer to 10-15 minutes. Rotation direction — There is clockwise first, then machine stop for 5 second then Automatic switch to anticlockwise halfway through for complete stimulation of all marma points. The machine auto-stops when the timer ends.

4

Sit and Place Feet on the Thali

Sit in a comfortable chair with your back straight and spine relaxed. Place both feet flat on the rotating kansya thali. You should feel the gentle rotation and the acupressure points under your soles. Apply mild downward pressure naturally — do not force. Relax completely.

5

Complete the Session

When the timer stops, remove your feet. You will likely see dark or black residue on the soles — this is the toxin release (completely normal and positive). Wipe with a clean cloth and wash feet with warm water. Clean the thali surface with a dry cloth.

Which Oil to Use?

🌻

Sesame Oil

Best for Vata (dryness, anxiety, insomnia, joint pain). Warming and grounding. Best in winter.

🥥

Coconut Oil

Best for Pitta (inflammation, heat, irritability, high BP). Cooling and soothing. Best in summer.

🧈

Pure Cow Ghee

Best for deep nourishment, Vata disorders, and elderly people. Use sparingly — very potent.

Understanding the Black Residue

The dark or black residue appearing on your feet during the session is oxidised toxins (ama) being drawn out through the skin. This is the kansya metal's unique electrochemical property at work — pure bronze literally extracts toxins through skin contact.
